Job Purpose:
To provide strategic leadership, drive business development, ensure operational excellence, and cultivate a positive, high-performing environment for staff and customers, ultimately achieving branch financial goals and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development: Train, motivate, and manage branch staff (tellers, customer service reps, etc.) to deliver top-tier service and meet performance goals.
- Business Growth & Sales: Implement strategies to grow the branch’s loan, deposit, and fee income portfolios; drive cross-selling; and achieve sales targets.
- Customer Experience: Foster strong customer relationships, resolve complex issues, and ensure a consistently positive customer journey.
- Operations & Compliance: Oversee daily branch operations, manage financial reporting, ensure adherence to banking regulations, and maintain security standards.
- Community Engagement: Represent the bank within the local community to build brand awareness and attract new business.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of banking experience, with proven leadership and sales success.
- Strong understanding of banking products, regulations, and financial management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of T24 banking software

Job Purpose:
To spearhead business growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, marketing banking products, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality commercial banking services and loan products, contributing to the bank’s financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Growth: Achieve targets for new liability (deposit) accounts and loan portfolios.
- Client Acquisition: Proactively source and solicit new commercial clients, focusing on non-consumer loans, deposits, and treasury services.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their specific financial needs.
- Product Promotion: Market the bank’s diverse range of banking products and services effectively.
- Loan Portfolio Quality: Support the credit function by developing strong loan proposals that meet bank policies and contribute to a high-quality loan book.

Qualifications & Skills:

Mepe Area Rural Bank PLC is a leading financial institution dedicated to empowering communities through accessible financial services. We’re expanding our Microfinance department and seeking passionate individuals to join our field team.
Job Summary:
The Microfinance Officer will be responsible for promoting and managing our microfinance products, focusing on client acquisition, loan management (appraisal, disbursement, monitoring, recovery), and financial literacy training in designated communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market surveys to identify potential clients and communities.
- Recruit and animate microfinance groups, ensuring effective group formation and management.
- Appraise loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and disburse funds.
- Monitor loan utilization and ensure timely repayment, managing arrears.
- Conduct financial literacy training for clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients and the community.
- Submit regular reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HND or Diploma in Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in microfinance, credit, or community development.
- Proven experience in credit analysis and risk assessment.
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (local language a plus), and analytical skills.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset with integrity and honesty.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in remote/rural settings.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the bank’s catchment area (field work expected).
- Possession of a valid motorcycle riding license and skills is highly preferred.
